The Dress

This elegant ivory mermaid tail dress has a fitted satin bodice with figure-flattering rouging. The sweetheart neckline is set off by Swarovski crystal and pearl ornamented straps, which match the waist feature brooch. Beautiful lacework embedded with more Swarovski crystals begins at the drop waistline which flares stunningly into a mermaid base and continues into a full train. Generously included in the price is a mermaid hoop (valued at $70) which when worn underneath the dress accentuates the flare and enables the dress to reveal its best features. Also added to the dress are 3 strong bustles, enabling the train to be firmly pinned up for dancing or mingling at the reception. I spent the extra money investing in 3 bustles, although 1 would have been sufficient, because we had a special dance which required a lot of movement, so I wanted the train to be secure.

The low feature back has been especially tailored in French couture fashion with stylish buttons and an invisible zip. This feature was one of my favourite aspects of the dress as it enables the upper back and shoulders to be elegantly shown off.

Professional adjustments valued at $535 were made to the dress and are included in the price at no extra charge. These included the bustles, couture style zip and buttons and bra cup inserts (which could be removed). I am a size 8-10 and the dress was brought in for my size, but there is still plenty of material in the seams to be brought out if required. The length was unchanged for my 168cm height, which was perfect with a small heel and the hoop.

If desired, I am happy to include my veil ($130), which I purchased to match- ivory with tiny crystals peppered along the edge. I chose a short veil to ensure the stunning back feature was clearly visible.

I felt very comfortable in this dress and was able to move with ease and confidence.
