The Dress

This beautiful dress by the Australian designer Gwendolynne, has a delicate fabric overlay with antique-style trimmings (the beading sparkles as it catches the light). The styling is Art Deco, elegant, sensual and romantic….. and it really gives you a tiny waist! The back is just as beautiful as the front with gorgeous pearl beading.

The fabric is 100% silk chiffon and crepe satin, the top, cap sleeves and open back intricately hand beaded. The rear of the dress is finished with a row of silk buttons and a beautiful vintage clasp to close the back.

The dress has a train which has a loop for a bustle. It was very easy to move around in! I had so many compliments about how unique this dress is.

The sizing is 8 - 10.
I am 5ft 6.5 and wore heels 3 inches.

I spent £200 getting this dry cleaned and it is in fabulous condition as a result. There was a tiny hole which has been stitched but not noticeable. I would say the crepe overlay has shortened a little in the cleaning process so might be better for shorter brides - needs to be tried on really. There is one pearl button missing but I can always source this for you.

Originally purchased for £3500 which was way over my budget but once I tried it on I knew it was the one, as was confirmed by the reaction of my mum and bridesmaids, there was no way I couldn't have it! Open to offers but bear in mind it really is in great nick!
