The Dress

I don’t have much of a waist and I wanted a dress that would create one. The cut of this gown and the boned corset and lace-up back do just that. The simple lines of the thick satin are overlaid with sheer organza that’s been beaded with Swarovski crystals in delicate patterns. I didn’t want what I see in some dresses, where I think the crystals can look heavy and over the top. But this elegant, flattering dress seems to float around you as you glide along. Such a pity it can be worn only once.

The train of the skirt can be folded up into a bustle (which I did for the dancing!)
At my wedding I also wore a hooped petticoat underneath to give the skirt more volume, which you might choose to do or leave out.

Professionally dry-cleaned (with certificate).
I am also selling the matching tiara, necklace, fingertip veil, ballet shoes, and ivory satin ring pillow.

It was altered for my height - 165 cm (I wore ballet slippers). I also lost weight to a size 8, but we just tightened the lacing, and then later in the night loosened it a bit. I love how flexible and forgiving this dress is.
