The Dress

This is a 2007 designer dress by Constantina in pure white. The dress is satin with lace detail overlay. The bodice is boned and sheer vintage style lace although it does come with a detachable zip up satin section which attaches inside the bodice to allow for a non sheer option (picture attached). The bodice has spaghetti straps which can be removed at the back and sewn in at the front.

The bodice /straps are covered with lace detail, the lace is adorned with crystals, beading and pearlescent type sequins. The bodice is fastened by buttons which are crystal in appearance. The buttons continue to the main body of the skirt at the back just below the bodice.

The skirt is A line and the lace details continues onto the skirt in two layers. The bottom layer forms the base of the dress and is scalloped. The train is mid-length and the lace adorns the train also.

After the dress was worn (the once!) it was dry cleaned and boxed by a specialist wedding dress cleaning company.

There are minimal flaws to the dress. The scalloping at the bottom of the train has a couple of minor frays. The bodice has two bones which have a slight bend to them. Although not a recent dress this is a timeless dress which is perhaps best viewed in person. The sparkle of the dress is not captured by my pictures!
