The Dress

Augusta Jones Dress, label states size 12 however I am a 10-12 and it fit perfectly. This was worn for my wedding on 24th June 2017. This was purchased in January 2016 from Claire Louise Brides in Bolton, Lancashire.

The style of the dress is quite simple, with a sweetheart neckline, a wrap over/twist detail in the silk at the front of the dress and a lovely small train at the back. The material is silk, which is beautiful to touch and wears really well, it flows and puddles around the bottom of the dress giving the A-line silhouette a really beautiful finish. The back of the dress is very simple with button detail lining the hidden zip.

The skirt has 3 layers of netting, and also an outer layer of material (not sure what material, it is more of a structured smooth fabric) over the netting which holds it all in place and in shape nicely. This is then covered by the silk of the dress. The dress originally had 4 layers of netting however I had one removed as it was too much.

The dress has a boned corset inside which is laced up, and then the dress zips up over the top. The buttons are for show only.

Length altered at the front as needed to be slightly shorter - I am 5ft 1 and wore 4 inch heels on the day and it was still plenty long enough (could get away with being an inch or two taller!) The back of the skirt wasn't altered, it was tapered to not spoil the train.

No other alterations were made to the actual size of the dress around the waist/bust. I am a large 10 with a D cup and this was a great fit without being too tight/loose. I didn't once feel unsecure in the dress (after a night of dancing away the dress still was in perfect position)
