The Dress
This is a beautiful lace dress with a built-in corset to give you the fit that you want (I used blue ribbon in the corset for my something blue!). It is elegant without being over the top, I'd say a classic. I left my dress as is, but many add a belt - a ribbon or a rhinestone belt are the most common I have seen. The dress has a lace train which is beautiful for pictures and for the ceremony but must be bustled after the ceremony.
The lace was not altered. But all the dress beneath the lace was. I am 5'4" and used mid-sized heels. The lace is beautiful and I wanted it to be seen which is why I left it long. I was able to walk down the aisle without any problems but the dress must be bustled if you plan to dance - which I definitely did! The dress was professionally cleaned after the wedding and then stored in special acid-free paper.
