The Dress

Classic Christian Dior lines accentuating the waist, flirtatious peek-a-boo sweetheart neckline, French lace covered sleeves with soutache, a full A-line skirt and romantic mid length train. This dress is all ivory silk—dress, lining, and silk lace, and silk covered buttons. Very comfortable and breathable unlike the synthetics you find today.

This dress is traditional, timeless, and couture. It was cleaned by a "green cleaner" and stored in an acid-free paper and sealed box.

A strapless bra or corset is recommended underneath.

This dress was taken in by a professional tailor, as with all fine designers, Dior runs large. I had a tie-able bustle made so I could dance in it. I am just shy of 5"8' and weigh 126, same as when I was married in it.

I hand sewed freshwater pearls and pale Amethyst colored Czech crystals (to match my roses and jewels) into the bodice on top of the soutache. I can take these off if requested without harm to the dress.

This dress is 20 years old, that may be its only flaw. It was cleaned within weeks of the wedding and has been sealed since then.
