The Dress

This beautiful Maggie Sottero wedding dress is perfect for the bride who wants a chic, classic silhouette. It can be dressed up with a sequined belt (I opted for the simple, classic look). The chic, demure stretch satin silhouette features a slightly ruched bodice and gentle gathering at the side skirt. The corset back means it has a relatively flexible sizing (so you'll have less to spend on alterations!).

For sizing purposes, I'm 5'1 and wore 2-inch heels. My measurements are 34-31-37.

My tailor added a discrete panel to the back under the corset (so going up a size wouldn't show any skin), I had the skirts hemmed (I'm 5'1), I had pads put into the bust (which are easy to remove) and I had a small loop and button put in to hold up the train.

I fell in love with this dress the second I put it on. I had tried so many fluffy, bedazzled, lacy dresses...and in the end, what won me over was the simplicity. It was so classy and timeless, that I knew it would make me shine and really fit with my genuine personality. I wanted to feel like myself on my wedding day, so this dress was a perfect choice.
However, I also liked the idea that I could add sequins and details if I wanted to, with a sequined belt. It looked great either way, and I liked having that possibility.
