The Dress

As soon as my fingers touched this dress, I was in love! I had been searching for weeks for a dress that fit my easy-going personality. Who knew how difficult it was to find a wedding dress that was NOT strapless, did NOT have a train, did not have heavy or itchy sequins/appliques, and did NOT tie up so tightly that I couldn't eat or dance comfortably!

This Catherine Deane wedding dress is honestly the most comfortable dress I have ever worn. The layers of silk organza are so soft, they feel like they could be worn as luxurious pajamas. There is a light boning on the interior that keeps you in place, but is not restrictive, and the empire waist/belt combo allows this dress to be very forgiving. I love the ethereal style and surprising delicate lace detail on the back. I was such a happy bride in this dress, and received gushing complements all night - I never wanted to take it off!

This was worn with a Renee Pawele pearl accent belt, which perfectly framed the lines on the front of the dress. Purchase price includes both dress and belt (originally retailed at $2085 for dress and $355 for belt).

Dress was sized up to account for a large bustline. Slight alterations were made to bring in waist, shorten hem for my height of 5'7" with heels, attach belt, and reign in cleavage. All alterations were made purposefully to allow for easy removal for next owner.
