The Dress

Elegant and timeless my wedding gown was a dream to wear and made me feel so incredible on one of the most magical days of my life.

Designed by the beautiful Sonia Cappellazzo in Melbourne, my gown is everything I envisioned and more. It was absolutely perfect for our wedding which was set at Jackalope hotel on the Mornington peninsula. It would equally suit almost any wedding setting due to its simple yet elegant structure - be it a church, winery, country or city wedding.

Made from a beautiful and very flattering neoprene fabric, my gown includes modern sculptured detail on the right hand shoulder. This seamlessly moves into a fold allowing you to show off your shoulders and back. Belted detail accentuates the waist, the long two metre train elongates the body and together with a long veil creates a little bit of whimsical romance. The sleek fold of fabric on the back is quintessentially Cappellazzo and adds a modern day look and feel to the gown.

The gown also includes an inserted bra and a discrete fabric loop to hold onto to, so you can elegantly scoop your gown up post ceremony. There is also a button at the back to allow you to bustle the gown up in the evening, so you can dance the night away freely and easily.

Sonia is an incredible designer with her creations often adorned by many celebrities on the red carpet. Most recently, one of her magical designs was seen on the red carpet at the Met Gala.

I instantly fell in love with this gown and received so many compliments about its beauty. I would love my gown to go to someone who loves it as much as I do. Trust me - you will absolutely adore this gorgeous creation and will feel so amazing in it on your special day. Just as I did.

The dress has been cleaned however there is very evident stains which they have not been removed which are visible on the rear and inside of the train of the dress. Due to the material makes these marks harder to work on to remove. The price is reflective of the marks on the dress.

I am 166cm tall and I wore silver Valentino Rockstud heels (which are about 10cm high) on the day.
