Stunning gown with 1920s inspired jeweled waistband made from silk chiffon. Fitted bodice with satin buttons. Moves beautifully. So comfortable to wear and move in.
Full transparency: This gown has been stored for over 12 years. While it had been dry leaned, there are numerous marks and stains around the train and hemline. This gown is ideally for someone who is looking for a gorgeous gown but doesn’t mind either trying to remove the stains or, what would work well is to simply hem the gown. There are no tears or rips however one very small piece of boning in the bodice has just poked though (however not noticeable). It’s still presents beautifully but needs a good steam. For any dressmakers this could also make a great purchase simply for the jewelled belt or the layer upon layer of silk chiffon fabric which could be repurposed. Tell me your story or make an offer. This dress was bought a size 10, altered to an 8, and then needed additional alterations so is closer to a size 6.
